A website that wasn’t bringing in work

Mark Thompson (Leeds) Ltd has been fixing boilers and plumbing across Leeds for over 30 years. Their reputation was strong, and they’re rated 5.0 on Which? Trusted Traders, but their website wasn’t pulling its weight.

The old site generated zero leads. People searching for a boiler engineer in Leeds weren’t finding them, and the ones who did had no easy way to get in touch.

Built around what customers search for

We designed and built a new site with a page for every service they offer: gas and oil boilers, renewables, plumbing, and servicing and maintenance. Each page is written to be found by people searching for that job in Leeds.

Recent projects, customer reviews and their Which? rating sit up front to build trust. On phones, Call Now and Free Quote buttons stay on screen, so getting in touch is always one tap away.

From 16 leads in month one to 25+ every month

In its first month, the new site appeared in Google searches over 19,000 times, brought 160 visitors direct from search, and turned them into 16 enquiries, up from none on the old site.

And it has kept going. Clicks from Google have grown every month since, reaching 217 in September, and the site now sits on the first page of Google for searches like boiler service Leeds, boiler repair Leeds and gas engineer Leeds. It brings in 25 or more leads every month, consistently.
